DEC 18, 2008Aeronautical Accessories Certifies Reduced Weight Skid Tubes
On December 18th, 2008, Aeronautical Accessories, Inc. received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval this product which will make the aircraft lighter allowing additional mission-specific equipment or cargo to be transported.
The 206L Reduced Weight Skid Tube is a replacement for the existing skid tubes on the high cross tube configuration. Replacing the skid tubes will have a weight savings of twenty pounds per helicopter due to the skid tubes being shorter and the wall thickness reduced in low stressed areas. With the industry’s ever changing needs and requirements this is another example of Aeronautical’s responsiveness to the needs of our customers.
