DEC 12, 2008Edwards & Associates, Inc. to Deliver 2nd Bell 412 Helicopter to Orange County Fire Authority at HAI, Anaheim, CA.
Edwards & Associates Inc., an affiliate company of Bell Helicopter, and a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is pleased to announce that Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) will accept delivery of their second Bell 412 Helicopter at HAI in Anaheim, CA. Edwards won a competitive bid in order to get the opportunity to customize two fire and rescue helicopters for OCFA. Chief Brian Stephens, with Orange County said they were very pleased with the process and with their product when they accepted delivery of their first new Bell 412 in November of 2008. These two 412s are replacement aircraft for two 1966 UH-1s that Orange County put into service in 1995. These are the first two brand new helicopters for this agency. Their new helicopters are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as a night vision lighting system by AeroDynamics, a rescue hoist, an Avalex mapping system with a digital video recorder, and a full compliment of tactical radios. These aircraft will be used primarily for firefighting and rescue missions.
